I am always surprised to see big container ships cruise past us on the Tonle Sap on their way down to the sea port but with a road system that is barely adequate for private traffic and a rail system that has yet to be reinstated the waterways provide the fastest, cheapest and most reliable to move goods up and down the country regardless of the weather. If you look really closely can you tell the water is flowing against the direction of the ship? It is still flowing 'uphill' away from the sea, which I think is really cool.

I love this. The brown water reminds me of some of the rivers here in South Africa. And I love the contrasting grey of the clouds...great shot from you as usual and really interesting info!
