Mekong Creations makes beautiful homeware, furniture and even mountain bikes out of bamboo. It is part of the NGO Mekong Plus, which runs community development programmes in remote villages in Vietnam and Cambodia. All the products sold are made in the villages specifically to allow more time to be spent with families. I love the feel of the bamboo bowls and platters and its nice to know there is personal story behind the product you are buying.
