This juvenile magpie was caught mid fan of his tail feathers. This was my first encounter with baby magpies. I also got a photo of another one which I will post another day. Best viewed large.

@mrssmith I had not either and I wondered why these birds were not flying away! My guess is that they don't know how yet. They were pretty wobbly on the branches.
