9th February 2015 - Fallen Tree by pamknowler

9th February 2015 - Fallen Tree

After my walk with Finlay at the country park I drove around the lanes looking for a tree which i thought would look good in B&W. I pulled over by this field as I saw there was also a fallen tree. I am annoyed with myself as I was concentrating on the reflection in the puddle and chopped the top of the tree in every shot!! I will have to go back!!

For F for February and Flash of red

How lovely to wake up this morning to find this shot on the PP! Many thanks!
Wow, loving the pov, that amazing tree and all the great textures. Reminds me a bit of my friend, Sean Oneill.

Fantastic tones in b&w. Just say you intended to chop the top of the tree off. :-)

I know the feeling! next time just take a few minutes to take in the whole scene and imagine what you want to capture, that usually helps for me! Nonetheless it is a beautiful b&w!!

Heehee! I saw the shot and thought -- it's perfect except for the cut off tree. And then that's exactly what you said. Definitely worth going back -- it's a fantastic tree and overall composition and would be wonderful to have just as you'd want it.

OK That's pretty good - for a B&W

Love the detail and comp and don't find it a problem that the very top of the tree is not there. Fav, and congrats on the PP appearance Pam.
