@taffy How exciting Taffy!! The quickest way to get to London is by train - Wellingborough to St Pancras takes just under an hour. Let me know when and where!! LOL!!
Here again, (as so often in your past photos) I can truly see the worth of a good camera! Yes, I know there needs to be an artist's eye viewing the scene through it, but this was a gorgeous crisp photo...as SO MANY of yours are! (Isn't it wonderful how our world is getting increasingly smaller as we now reach out to visit one another around the world?!)
@pamknowler@pixiemac Gosh, this would be fun!! I asked if Jim was interested in a long weekend in London and he said yes, unless it was all about photo meet-ups! But I'll keep you posted. My thought was to watch for fares and hoping there would be cheap ones for November (who goes to London in November???). I'm blocking out the time for us to be gone, and am sure Jim would be able to entertain himself while we did one photo meet up. Keep fingers crossed!
@pixiemac Jim is not a golfer...he likes sporting events, wouldn't mind hanging out in a pub... and really, could entertain himself if need be so make sure Craig doesn't feel an obligation. Maybe we could all meet for lunch or something, and then we three could go off and photograph through the golden hour. So much will depend on weather I suspect. But that's so nice of Craig -- tell him he's a good sport! Jim will typically respond, when I do such advance planning, 'just tell me what's going on when it gets closer' so we have lots of time to sort it out!
@taffy@pixiemac what a lovely surprise! All this planning! I love the idea of lunch and relaxing and catching up and then a photowalk. As you say weather can be a bit dodgy in November but hey ho who cares! Sorry for delay in responding but it took them 4 1/2 hours to finally discharge Barb from hospital after her biopsy! We didn't get home until9.30 pm and all Barb had eaten was 1 slice of toast and 1 cup of coffee since last night! We almost lost the will to live just waiting! Now 3 weeks for results! Reading your messages has really cheered me up!
@pamknowler Keeping fingers crossed that (a) there are cheap fares and (b) Jim will be up for going and (c) we'll all be able to meet up. Won't that be fun! And I do love London -- always so much to see indoors and out! And your tea is the best!
