Still playing with my flash to get a white background. I have used my Macro Twin Liite on the camera with my Speedlite 430EX11 behind the arrangement aimed at the back of the lightbox. I will be interested in your comments/suggestions. A steep learning curve!! The background looked white on my laptop but now I upload to 365 I can see grey!! Back to the drawing board!!
I collected these gorgeous leaves yesterday while walking Finlay. One tree has turned to autumn colours and started to drop it's leaves - the rest are still very green!!

Grey is good too as well as white! All different shades of grey - as we know! I like your composition - its sharp and defined and has interest simply put with the ribbon! fav
It looks pretty white to me. I see a tiny bit of detail which has to show as grey but to have no detail at all it has to be blown out. But maybe that's what you're after?
The leaves are gorgeous. re the white/ grey...I'm a bit confused re what I am seeing. top is white, then a rounded rectangle shape that is grey and then the bottom darker grey. not sure how to fix it though. Your fish oil capsules' background seems perfect
@kauaikris The fish oil shot I cloned out the shadows. I can't seem to get the settings right on the flash units to get the white really white without blowing the whole shot out!! Still trying to understand the manual!!
I see the same ridge that Jane @jgpittenger referred to. There's an odd grainy frame on the right and bottom. That said, the composition is fantastic -- I love the leaves, the use of the ribbon and the placement within the shot. One thought...what is it that they are lying on? Could there be grains from that?
I have had another go with this shot and the background is now white - I think - I have to edit on my laptop and sometimes when I look on the PC it looks completely different!! Getting fed up with white backgrounds now so trying to find something different.
