2016 06 27 Bee Orchid

I was thrilled today to find this rare bee orchid. Not only this one but at least 10 other plants in a field alongside a footpath. I was walking Finlay and decided to take a new route and could not believe my eyes when I saw the orchids. Luckily I had my camera with me!! Phew!!

Oh, beautiful! Good for you for only *taking* the picture! We had orchids growing wild out on our property, and a friend with me hastily dug them up without even asking! I was quite miffed...
