2017 01 05 - Long Tailed Tit

One of my favourite little birds. They are really hard to capture as they move so quickly. At the country park this morning there was a group of them on a feeder and they kept flying off to eat the seeds and then back again. Finally one stopped long enough for me to get him.

Best on black.

Many thanks for getting all three of my Finlay/puppy shots onto the PP yesterday. How lovely to see them all there!!
Great capture

I was out trying to capture birds this morning before we leave...I know how hard this is to capture and get the eye glint too.

What a pretty little bird! I love all the fluff around his face that makes resemble an owl's plumage more than other small birds! Do you let Finlay go for a romp while you're getting your photos? (Just glanced up and our hummer was hovering outside the window!) Currently my bird photos are being taken from inside. No country walks on my docket!

@Weezilou when in the country park it's a nature reserve and digs have to be kept on the lead. This is ok when Barb is with me as she takes Finlay. Today on my own I had to put the lead between my knees! Luckily he just sits and waits for me to finish. When he was a puppy I had to be careful because as soon as I took my eyes off him he would be rolling in fox poo! Very smelly! Thankfully he seems to have outgrown that lovely habit😜

It's always a little awkward commenting on your tit shots, but that's really nice tit. Sorry.

@stray_shooter Ron you are awful - but i like you! lol! Thinking about it this phrase will go right over your head! This was the catch phrase of Dick Emery one of our comedians now dead. He would do sketches always a bit risqué and then these would be the final words as he stalked off screen. Very funny! Oh lord going down memory lane now!
