We were walking in the country park this morning and I said to my sister that all the damselflies and dragonflies seem to have disappeared as the weather has got much chillier and very windy. Suddenly a dragonfly appeared in from of me and flew around us. He kept stopping in front of us as if to have a good look. He was too close to focus!! Suddenly he dropped to the grass and I managed to get two shots - the first was blurry in the wind but thankfully this one was in focus!! Last dragon of the season I expect. I never did get one flying this year!!

@ludwigsdiana Diane if you click on the image it then shows you it larger and with a black background. Most photos look much better when you do this for some reason.
