Here is George my new puppy and Finlay's nephew. He is 3 weeks old tomorrow and has just opened his eyes. Yes I know I am mad but I just cannot resist any longer!! There were 2 puppies in the litter a girl and a boy. Rhona is keeping the girl, Cassie, for breeding. I just had to have George.
Finlay will always be number one dog in our house but I thought he would love a playmate. Finlay's mum is George's granny. He has a different dad - William who has been a show dog and is very handsome.
We will be bringing George home on the 2nd December and then the fun begins!!
Many thanks for your lovely comments on my project - always very much appreciated!!
@taffy Finlay was very interested today. He normally ignores any puppies but he kept going and having a look. He had a good sniff nose to nose. I want him to get to know the puppy before we bring him home. We are going back next week for more photos and cuddles!!
@quietpurplehaze both my sister and I are probably the same Hazel But I just couldn’t resist George! Here’s to the next six months - I am just hoping Finlay is a good teacher and George a quick learner! Fingers crossed! Lol!
@golftragic Finlay actually took notice of him which was unusual as he normally just ignores any puppies when they are tiny! He loves it when they are big enough to play and chase him! If he gets fed up with that he can always jump up on the sofa away from the annoying puppy! Fun times ahead!
How wonderful. Having dogs all my life I can see how you could not refuse. Love seeing them grow up, get their own personalities and characteristics. I love it when people have more than one dog as they really are a pack animal.
I'm too geriatric (!) to have a puppy, Pam!!!! This will be an ex-breeding female. I did love Jinks but I don't think I want to do another Jinks!
