I was out in the garden really early this morning enjoying the lovely cool fresh air. I filled up the bird feeders and it wasn't long before I could hear a few birds in the bushes and then I saw the goldfinches on the feeders. So wonderful to see the youngster being fed by it's parent. I have a series of shots with the baby quivering and fluttering his wings as he was being fed.
It was only when I put the shots on the PC that I noticed the baby has a lump under his beak. I am not sure if it's a seed stuck to it's feathers or if it is an actual lump. I hope it's nothing nasty. Has anyone ever seen anything like this?
