The heart of the rose by pamknowler

The heart of the rose

It's my sister Barbara's birthday next Tuesday and we had a visit this morning from one of her daughters-in-law to give her this early present. My nephew has recently decided to leave her after 24 years of marriage and we are going through the repercussions of the breakup. It is never just the couple who hurt in these cases. My sister is in tears and really I could have named this image broken hearted. Feeling very sad!!

Best on black

Many thanks for your lovely comments on my images - always very much appreciated!!
Oh I am so sorry to hear your family troubles, that is terribly sad. A beautiful image. Sending love to you and yours.

This is a beautiful rose. I’m so sorry for your family. Divorce is so hard on everyone. 24 years is a long time.

This is really beautiful. You are correct in saying that divorce hurts more than just the couple.

Lovely capture. I agree it is never just the couple who hurt - 24 years is a long time. Hope the healing will be soon for everyone.

Despite the heart-breaking situation, the beauty you've shared here is a stunner! I love the hits of blue at the most outer edges. Big Fav.
It's so hard to understand breakups that occur so far down the path - 24 years is lifetimes. I'm sorry for your family - and I hope that it shows itself to have been the best decision for the two of them, soon. Sending energy of comfort and strength to all of you.

A beautiful rose. A sad story, but hopefully grown up children who can give support.

This is such a sad thing to happen & I feel devastated fir your sister. Our neighbours down the hill are going through the same situation too. Their DIL has left their sin after around twenty years of marriage, makes it worse as they live in the same farmyard after having converted their barns. They miss her like a daughter & look out if the window & see son on his own. They are in their eighties & heartbroken. Their only son after having lost the other in a car accident. I truly think it will quicken the lives. I imaging you feel the same so it spreads out in waves as you say. Strength & hope to you all. Your sister will miss her DIL but hopefully will be able to keep in touch.

Gorgeous detail, I love the gentle folds of the petals. Sorry you and your sister are having to deal with the divorce of her son and daughter in law. You are right it does involve and impact on so many people when couples divorce. Hopefully you and Barbara will be able to support both of them and not take sides.
