Lakeside view

As we drove to Castle Ashby this morning for our walk we passed these fishing lakes which were surrounded by Rapeseed/canola fields. I loved the way the glorious yellow was reflected in the lake. I stopped the car in the middle of the lane and managed to get some shots before another car came along.

Love this! Fantastic reflections and color, but mostly I love it because it reminds me of growing up in the English country side. There is something so beautiful about seeing fields of rapeseed in the spring and then wheat in the summer, here in Illinois it is all flat corn fields followed by more corn fields and yet more flat corn fields.
