It's tipping down with rain so no photos so far today. These are from last Friday when Sophie came round to finish off weeding our driveway. I had already paid her. She wanted her mum Louise to come and sit outside and talk to her while she did the weeding. As you can see Louise took over and did the weeding as Sophie was on a go slow!! She needs a rocket up her backside to get her going!! Back from Uni and not returning after one year. No job and "doesn't know what she wants to do" She is selling her designer clothes online for huge amounts of money and thinks that's a job!! How times have changed!! We left school and got a job - no questions about it!! I love her dearly but she needs to get herself sorted - quickly!!

Babs has a point! Wow to the mum for doing it for her on a hot day. it's a fiddly time consuming job. I did it recently for a relative and it was back breaking stuff!
@onewing@casablanca I was trying to help out and give her something to do to earn a bit of money. The first week was fine. Second week she came back and did our back patio but I said she had to finish the drive which she had started. Yes I shouldn’t have given her the money until she had finished! I am a soft touch! Louise her mum is at her wits end trying to get her motivated! She has been spoilt !
Oh dear. Well hopefully her mom can do things like charge her rent if she’s not going to school; make her pay her own car insurance and gas if she’s not going to school. The real world is not easy, she best learn that now.
I hear you! This seems to happen such a lot these days. I don't really understand why. I am eternally grateful that our two both managed to finish their Uni courses and get jobs afterwards. I'd have had great difficulty coping with anything else to be honest. However, lovely images of the two girls in the sunshine. :-)
@carolmw her parents just bought her what she wanted. I suspect she was buying clothes online while at Uni. Good way to spend your student loan! She has been treated like a princess and spoilt but reality is slowly kicking in!
Oh dear a sad tale but all too common these days I think. Some young people don’t seem to know how to stick at things these days, no concentration or vision of their grown up life. We love them but sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind! I don’t think mum helped here either doing the job for her, she must be worried! We can all say what should be done but it’s hard being tough sometimes!
