Another giant jellyfish

One reason why I don’t swim in the sea! I think it’s another barrel jellyfish about 15 inches across! The tide has just turned and this big boy is left high and dry!

I presume...that the side sticky out bits are the start of the tentacles and are folded under the 'body". Fascinating.

This is super - like a silvered porthole to another world! I love jellyfish but am wary of touching them in the water in case they sting.

Holy Moly Pam!!! We also get some pretty large ones on Sand Dollar beach here when the tide goes out. I don't know if they can sting from this position, but a photo and retreat is a pretty good idea!

We saw one almost as big here today and many small ones. Our ocean is too cold to swim though
