As we were sitting in the bird hide I could see a huge flock of birds swooping round the lake. They are lapwings and there were hundreds of them arriving. A big crop here so quality not all that good.

Another one from a few weeks ago as I am not going out again today. Many thanks for your good wishes!! Just a bit worried about the 7 hour drive on Friday - that's what it normally takes. I keep seeing warnings about the Christmas traffic jams anticipated!! Oh dear!!
