At the end of the lane - this is as far as I can go as it gets very steep all the way down to the beach. My dodgy knees will not let me go down and I don't think I would ever get back up again!! LOL! There is a gale force wind blowing off the sea and it's freezing cold!!
On the horizon you can see Lundy Island today for the first time - the wind has blown away the mist which was hiding it.
Behind the bushes above the little house is Clovelly where my niece Ruth lives - it's the next bay along - 4 and half miles along the coastal path. So near yet so far as we are Social distancing. We may have to drop a food parcel off soon as I have Easter eggs for the girls. We can leave them on the doorstep!! How sad!!
@judithdeacon if only we lived here Judith! We have had to vacate our house in Wellingborough after burst pipe and whole ground floor wet! We came to North Devon to be near our niece Ruth who lives in Clovelly but with the lockdown we are unable to see her except at a distance! Not supposed to drive unless essential! So sad!
A lovely scene and composition. Doorstep drops are a sign of the times. My son left my mother's day flowers and card on the doorstep last week, and is going to leave Danny's birthday present there tomorrow
Everything is conspiring against you Pam....this looks a lovely walk though. The green of the roof bits..can’t spell the proper word which begins with an F ...brings out the lovely greens of the grass & trees.
If you have to be in social isolation, you’ve certainly chosen a beautiful place to do it. Hopefully this will all be over soon and you will be able to spend lots of time with the girls
