This my favourite photo I have of me (LHS) with my brother and sister. It was taken at Brian's daughter's (Ruth) second wedding reception - I need to check the date but I know it is in the 1990's. There are very few photos of the three of us togther and I treasure this one taken a couple of years before Brian died of emphysema.
This was the occasion where one of my brother's "arty farty" friends asked me who I was and when I said Brian's sister she looked amazed and said she thought I was Australian! I am a Londoner from Peckham and have a South London accent. My brother was a bit of a "snob" and over the years had got rid of the South London flat vowels and was very well spoken - a big joke in the family!!
Isn't it funny what memories photos can bring back to us!!
