Every morning the big fat pigeon comes to the garden and lands in the pyracanthas bush and sets about gorging on the berries. It is funny to watch as the branches on this shrub are very thin and the pigeon bounces up and down when he lands!!
This pyracanthas has more berries on it this year than ever before. Maybe it is because it was cut back very hard last year when I paid for my fir trees to be lopped and the whole garden to be cut back gaining at least 3 feet all round.
Rhoda and I used to kack ourselves laughing at these big fat pigeons. We always reckoned that they didn't land in the trees but rather fell into them and then flopped around until a branch finally stopped them falling to the ground. LOL
When I first read the title I thought maybe you had planned pigeon pie on the menu for tonight, ha ha but instead I guess the feast is for the pigeon on the berries. Not so sure he will be able to fly after feeding at this restaurant.
