(Definitely looks better large against black if you have time)
Finlay needed a long walk this morning so we went to Stanick Lakes where I had been told there were dragonflies like planes!! As if!! Of course we saw no dragons but the air was full of these Banded Demoiselles. This is a male - the female is emerald green. I was so pleased he settled on this grass to pose for me!!
Many thanks to everyone for all your wonderful comments and favs on my shots from my holidays. I love to hear what you think and I always read every comment. I am very grateful for your support and encouragement. I am still trying to catch up with all your fab pics - I will get there but I have been busy since I have been home and not had the time to spend on 365. Not a happy bunny!! I will get to see your shots as soon as I can.
On the PP on the 31st July. It went on and off in a very short space of time and i just had a look and its back on there again!! How funny!! Many thanks for all your lovely comments and Favs!!
@smellychelli thank you so much Michelle for you wonderful comments I can't tell you how much they mean to me! I was using my 100-400mm lens so I didn't have to get right on top of the insect. With my Canon 5D Mark 11 you can do a big crop without loosing any detail and you don't get too much noise.
Thanks for looking at my shots, Pam! Glad I caught up with you on this one - its fabulous - fav! You can put a black frame around this using picmonkey, you know 'cause it looks so good enlarged!
