I have resorted to another old shot today as my eyes are streaming and I can't see to focus on a shot. Another one from my Bass Rock trip. We were on the rock amongst thousands of gannets and all around they were performing their mating dance which is so beautiful. There is a lot of rubbing their necks and beaks around each other and it is fabulous to watch.
Many thanks for all your good wishes yesterday and great comments on my shot of Finlay. He has been so good - he definitely knows I am unwell and keeps cuddling me. So sweet!!
16/12 How lovely just seen this shot on the PP!! So pleased people liked this shot as it's another one from my magical Bass Rock Day!!
Oh my gosh -- I can't believe this is an older shot you hadn't already posted. It's awesome!! Perfect lighting, focus, colors, interest, etc. Fav instantly
PS -- and I hope you feel better soon!!
PPS -- and thank you so much for the visit and birthday wishes! It was so nice to make it through the day on such an upbeat note. I don't know why 65 sounds so old to me, but it's very strange entering this phase of life! I never have thought about age in the past, and assume this will pass. But it was a good day and today I don't feel any older!
@seanoneill Many thanks Sean!! I am hoping the gannets stay at Bempton through the winter - not sure if they go off like the puffins do. I will have to check it out.
