I went out this morning to drive around the countryside searching for a good building to do some HDR shots. Luckily as well as my wide angle lens I also took my 100-400mm - just in case!! We ended up at Grafham Water and I have so many shots it was difficult to decide which one to use for my shot of the day. Finlay won - I have a series of shots of him along the waters edge chasing the ducks and this was my favourite as he turned to look at me. There were lots of ducks flying and we had an air display overhead too. Some days you get no shots and others every shot you take is fine. No shots of buildings today!! The sun shone and the sky was blue and we had our lunch at the waters edge - perfect!!
Many thanks for your comments and Favs on my starling shot. Always appreciated!!
29/12 - 1.45am and I can't sleep! Having a browse on 365 and have just seen this shot of Finlay on PP! Plus the shot of my little robin is still on PP! Wow! Thank you all so much - I can't tell you how much this means to me as I come to the end of my 365! You have all been such a wonderful part of my project! I could not have done it without you!
31st December 2013 and I have reached my 365 today. Finlay is still on the PP - what a fantastic way to end my year!!
A fabulous shot of Finlay! A fave for me. Isn't it interesting how you go out looking for one type of shot but don't find it but find a lot of other great captures? I love that part chance plays in photography.
@ofnobility1982 No it was really bright sunshine and a lovely blue sky which is reflected in the lake behind him. The sun has even made him look quite clean when in fact he is very grubby and smelly and due for a bath tomorrow!! LOL!!
@miata2u Finlay is a West Highland White Terrier - a Westie. He has been given a teddy bear haircut which makes him look scruffy!! I am not keen on the proper westie cut which leaves a long skirt. Finlay likes running in the mud too much to leave his fur too long underneath!! LOL!!
