26th October 2014 - Floating away

Another walk along the towpath this morning and once again there were many swans there waiting in hope for bread. They had all been gathered together with a young girl feeding them when down river the food options looked more interesting. They all turned away and started floating towards a new supply of food.

It was a very dull dark morning and so once again I had a play in PS and LR. I liked this effect. Looks best against black.

Many thanks for your lovely comments on my surprise flower - very much appreciated.

Hopefully whatever the girl was feeding them what's better than bread. I do not believe that bread is the best thing to be feeding birds. Your capture is gorgeous and looks super on the black. Fav

@maggiemae I think I used a solarising filter in PS and when I took it back into LR I used one of the presets which I think was, antique. I liked the final tone. It was so dull and dark originally but I loved the swans floating away so had a play to give it some life!

What a sight — so many swans! Your chosen processing has really defined their elegant shapes and curves. Nicely done.
