Reeth is such a pretty village in the Dales and the Tour de France cycled through it the week before. There were yellow bicycles everywhere and all the buildings were decorated with red dots. The red dots were for the winner of that days ride who would be given the red spotted jersey. He would be the King of the Mountains.
A lovely village round a huge green surrounded by the high hills of the dales. I think you can just see through between the buildings how high the hills are surrounding the village.
@maggiemae we said the same thing! I know that lots of people camped overnight and walked to the top of Buttertubs Pass and I watched on TV and was amazed at the speed of the peleton as they zoomed last the cheering crowds!
