7th August 2014 - Sandmartin

I forgot to upload this shot the other day when I went to the country park. There is a huge concrete bunker on an old disused railtrack and hundreds of holes have been drilled into the side of it. These holes are now the nests for sandmartins - hundreds of them. Wonderful to see them flying in and out of the holes. You have to be quick to catch them!!
