2016 07 13 Across the Heath

We found somewhere different to walk today. A beautiful nature reserve where it is said the Dartford Warbler can be found. This is the third time over the years that I have been to this heathland. I have never seen the illusive warbler though!! There were warnings that adders could be found sunning themselves on the heath. We watched our steps very carefully!! LOL!!

Uploaded for my alternate album
Lovely!! I like the textures of the vegetation!

Crikey - I just wished I could have a place like this to walk until I heard about the adders!

Is this where you took that wonderful photo of Finlay? Such gorgeous scenery! Snakes?!!! Yikes! "Adder" sounds poisonous....

@Weezilou No the photo of Finlay was taken last August in Derbyshire. The heather seems to be out very early down here in Dorset as it is a much milder county. I know adders can bite but don't think they are poisonous - I don't want to find out anyway!! LOL!!
