2016 10 24 The Wedding Cake House

We did a tour of Lunenburg as I wanted to take photos of the wonderful houses. This was one I fell in love with and according to Louise is known as the Wedding Cake House - it is pink. I just had to have play as I thought it looked like the perfect haunted house. I think it needs a shot taken without such bright sunshine to get the effect I really wanted!!

Uploaded for my alternate album
Louise @weezilou perhaps you could get a shot of this house on a darker day with a threatening sky - I think that would give a much better haunted effect. In your spare time of course!! LOL!!

@pamknowler Yes, my spare time... but I do think you're on to something! Too bad you didn't mention this day-before yesterday when "It Was Dark and Stormy"! (And in the moment I wrote that, Ken walked by saying what a beautiful day it is!)

This looks like an architectural pencil rendering! I just love it!

There are some fabulous houses like this in Halifax too! Great architects must have lived here!

Lovely light and shadows on the house

Charming house! I love the processing. Fits the subject.

I love your vintage processing, it really brings out the structure. Judith Deacon, who lived in Nova Scotia, has put colour shots up of this house. It's amazing.

You've processed this perfectly to honor the house -- great composition and framing.

I tried to meet your challenge and was out there freezing my fingers off when the sun went down!

The sepia treatment has brought out the lines very clearly Pam. I like it a lot.

Nicely processed - gives a very 'olde world' feel.

@Weezilou oh no sorry you got so cold - but the results were well worth it! Clever lady!

...just the fingers! I'd have left the house in my hurry had Ken not told me to put on a jacket! This So Cal Gal doesn't easily do "coats" (or shoes!)

@Weezilou Ken scores again!! LOL!!
