In the Africa section there are all different animals and birds. Such interesting areas to walk through. Many beautiful coloured birds too. In this area the birds were flying free and this large Hamerkop (the size of a chicken) came flying down to land on the railing in front of us hitting me on the head with his wing as he flew past. Yes it made me jump!! LOL!! What a strange looking bird he is - quite prehistoric I thought. He is from sub-Saharan Africa.
