I don't know that I would have seen this before hand, but, without changing anything else, I might have had Barbara move up one step and placed the suitcase on the rug. To emphasize that she's leaving, she might be holding her purse on her lap...
To make it an entirely different story, no purse or lap props...but put a man's hat (or coat) on the suitcase and maybe add a briefcase...

@Weezilou thanks so much Louise! I will put your ides to Sophie and see what she thinks. She really wanted Barb to be smoking a cigarette as she thought the smoke would be good. As ex-smokers neither of us were going to oblige! Lol! It was great fun creating these scenes!
