Sophie's photo No2 by pamknowler

Sophie's photo No2

Another photo from yesterday's session where Sophie had to actually take the photo as well as set it up. Similar to the one from last week using the mirror. I checked the settings and then let Sophie loose with the camera. Great fun!!

Best on black

Uploaded for my alternate album
It does give a very sad feeling with the posture and holding the picture! Definitely tells a story

@henrir This is not a selfie Henri Sophie is only 17 (18 in two weeks time). This is my sister Barbara who is Sophie's grandmother. Sophie wanted nanny to be her model.

I really like this photo, it says so much. I missed yesterday's photo so know nothing about this lady but I feel there is so much more here. Fave. I always love a people photo!

An excellent photo by Sophie, but I liked the way you'd framed yours better. And the photo she's holding...would, to me, have been more enigmatic had it been on the table behind her or on the bed amid the letters...more subtlety, I think... My two cents... (I always loved classroom critiques and never gave it up! I'll say though that, since she's learning, she should pay attention to good critiques and take many voices into consideration.... If someone says they like it, they should say "why", and likewise, if they take issue with it...)

@Weezilou thanks for the great feedback Louise I will pass it on to Sophie. This shot took ages as she couldn’t make up her mind what she preferred. I personally wasn’t keen on the photo but she liked it. It was her image and story she was trying to tell and I loved the way her mind was working. We had such fun! Barb has enjoyed her new career as a model although she does hate photos of herself! Lol!

This is a lovely photo however I prefer the framing and composition of the one you took. Mind you she is only 17, I see a bright future for her in photography
