My lovely butcher!!

I love going to the farm shop to buy our meat as it is all from their farm and I have to say some of the tastiest meat I have every had.

I asked for half a leg of lamb yesterday and the butcher went out and came back with the rear end of a lamb - two legs. We watched him doing the butchering and I could choose which end of the leg I wanted. Such great service and he is always such a happy chap!! I have ordered a 3 rib of beef joint for our Christmas dinner - no turkey for us thank goodness!! There will be plenty left over for us for Boxing day too and I am sure the boys will be getting their Christmas treat!! LOL!!

Apologise to any vegetarians out there - I could never give up meat!!

You’re lucky to have a good local butcher I have had fresh butchered meat and the taste difference is amazingly good. Much better the. Store bought.

A good local butcher is such an asset. We're not having turkey either, I'm taking a whole Scotch fillet and a bunch of bangers to my daughter's place for a bang-up BBQ.
