22nd December 2013 - Golden moon rising

As I drove home this evening the moon was just rising above the houses at the end of my road. It looked really large and was a lovely golden colour. Sadly it is not a full moon and most of the detail seems to show along the edge where the shadow starts. It was beautiful even if it was only a bit of the moon!! LOL!!

Best looked at large as usual!!

Really wonderful detail in large view, and in large view the moon was a little more to the right and I liked that too. A gorgeous shot.

According to Daniel (another 365-er) not full moons are better to shoot since the craters will show up more because of the angle of light. And your shot proves him right!!
