28th April 2014 -The end of the line

This is the signal box at Instow. The railway was closed by Mr Beeching in the 1960's along with many other local railway routes. North Devon was cut off at that time and you could only get as far as Exeter by rail. This is the end of the line at Instow where there is just a short piece of track and the signal box left. The railway line has been turned into a trail for bikes and walkers (The Tarka Trail) and it is wonderful to walk along and see all the nature which has thrived since the closure!!

This is HDR and I have probably overdone it a tad!! LOL!! Sorry Ross Walker!! I have been taking the oportunity this week to do more HDR really just trying out the effects I can get and learning what I can do.

I am filling in some spaces in my Extras album
Brilliant! Love the processing too...

Oh wow instant fav, this reminds me of the signal box at the station which ran through the village I lived in as a child. I used to have to catch the train to school every day.
