What a wonderful surprise I had this morning. A card in the post enclosing a few photos taken at my niece Ruth's first wedding (she had three!!) and there I am in the photo!! I just had to share this with you!!
As you can see I am holding my camera as I was busy taking photos of all the guests and it is so unusual for me to actually be in a photo!!
That's me on the left (40 years old - I remember buying that suit for my 40th birthday). Next to me is my darling mum who was already showing the first signs of dementia - how lovely to see her smiling!! On the right is my sister Barbara and her lovely husband Jim (sadly no longer with us) and in the middle their three sons, Michael, Colin and Richard. So funny as Richard the youngest is now a 6'5" policeman!!
I love this photo of a happier time and it will be going into a frame.
How lovely Pam that you told us all about the people in this beautiful image, and how nice for you to enjoy looking back on that happy time! I love that the wee chap is now a bobby!
Photos are such precious things...is it the same now we have them in digital form. Nothing like a proper photo to hold in our hands & to send through the post! Ah I see @louannwarren has said pretty much the same!
This photo is FABULOUS! I feel as though I know everyone so well! I'm really blessed to have come to know you as I have, and here, to take a step back a little ways in time is the nicest way to fill in the blanks! Absolutely charming family photo!
