18 years old

I am meeting up with my old school friends tomorrow so had a sort through some old photos to see what I could find. This is me in my last year at Peckham Girls School - 18 years old and a prefect of the school.

When I look at our Sophie who is 18 years old now and in full make up can look 26 - I can see how times have changed!! As you can see I am not wearing any makeup. Girls nowadays seem to go to school fully made up!! What's that about? Maybe it's because I went to an all girls school?

Love the youthful Pam pic, so fresh and innocent. As for the makeup, I haven't worn any since 1964 when I was working at the YWCA as a youth leader. There was no decent mirror in the whole place, so I gave it away - and never regretted it since. Saved heaps too.

Yeah, I went to an all girls school and we didn't care - dirty hair, hat shoved on our head... but then I moved to a co-ed school and discovered all the tricks the girls used - short skirts, make up (as much as allowed)... I could not cope!
I don't wear make up much either, look better when I do though! Hahaha
