I just cannot resist these colourful little birds. I love catching the goldfinches from behind so that you can see the wonderful patterns on the wings.
He is a beauty. When David and I first got married, back when Noah was a lad, one of our first fun purchases we bought was a bird book to be able to recognise the birds that appeared in our garden. We spotted a goldfinch and when we looked it up in the book it said they live in weedy waste places. I know our garden wasn't brilliant in those days but it wasn't that bad.
