The boy across the valley by pamknowler

The boy across the valley

Across from our house is a fabulous garden with wild primroses growing all over the hill and the pheasants wandering around all day and a waterfall running down the hillside. There seems to be one boy living in the house and we have been watching him on his own playing in the garden. I spotted him today swinging on the tyre hanging from the tree - on his mobile phone from the looks of it. A wonderful garden to have as a child going up into the woods. It does look a little lonely though for this young boy on his own. Maybe it's just since we have been social distancing and normally he has lots of friends round - I hope so.
Great capture

I bet old passtimes like tyre swings become very popular again!

Oh to be a kid again, and able to get on to something like that. Great photo Pam, invokes the isolation feeling well.

Lovely place to play although not too much fun on your own

I really like the scene as a whole -- but that boy on a mobile device while outdoors is a bit distressing for our world, that these children are magnetized toward their devices even in nature. Storytelling photo
