Of course there was always a fancy dress competition for the children at the holiday camp. Here I am on the RHS dressed as a Belisha Beacon (Zebra crossing) and my sister Barbara is a flower girl in the middle of the shot with the black hat. Yes I won!! I think my parents must have taken the crepe paper and balloon with us on the holiday all ready for the competition. Competitive or what? This is about 1955/56
I can remember having great fun every day in the children's club where they arranged games for us to play. No wonder my mum and dad loved it at the camp as they could go and do their own thing while we were both entertained.
Oh that’s priceless Pam...you make a great Belisha beacon! Your mum must have racked her brains...I can remember doing the same for a few weeks before sports day at the village school for our kids!
