Eaton Brook dock

I would have chose a different perspective for this one but I obeyed the no trespassing sign. I am not so happy with the lack lighting on the dock. I did however love the colors and that chair looked so inviting. I think I could sit there all day. I read a discussion on HDR the other day on this site. I know a lot of people don't like the way people use it. I realize I may have over cooked this a bit. I wanted a surreal look. It is all a learning process for me.

I love this! and i don't have a problem with HDR at all....personally those that complain about it in my eyes are just jealous that they cant get the same effects! This is pure art and everyone has their own interpretation of it so keep up the great work Pam...this is a fav for me :D x

@susieb Thank you so much Susie! I try to stay away from the discussions. I find some of them to be uninspiring lol. I appreciate your kind words:)

Lovely shot. I have nothing against HDR when it is done with style... like here.

Beautiful! I would love to be sitting out at the end of the dock in that nice white chair. Looks so comfy.

Well done, that is lovely. I know what you mean about the perspective & it could have been better but this is good anyway.

Great capture. I actually like the perspective. Don't know much about HDR, in fact I don't know much about photography, but I think its the artists interpretation and how they meld the medium to their liking. I think its looks great. Has a peaceful, calm feel to it. Especially like the color and texture on the boat. In some ways it combines the photo together. The top color is reminiscent of the water, where as the bottom color of the boat compliments the dock.

No tresspassing signs can be so limiting! There should be an exception for folks who just want to snap pics and cause no harm! :)

Oh I like it. The way you've processed it it looks like it could be a painting. Very cool effect. Love the subject matter...a dock, boat and an adirondack chair....very nice.

I don't hink it's overcooked at all. I would have liked to see a little more depth in the wood on the dock, but i think that's got more to do with the colour of the wood! It is a beautiful peaceful shot with lovely light and reflections.

Love it! I am fan of processing, HDR included. Not over done at all.

@kamb Thank you Karen for the feedback. I appreciate it. I totally agree with you about the dock. I think a combination of the wood and not enough light. I wasen't really worried. I suppose just venting a tiny bit lol.
