July 9, 1963. Seven and 1/2 months after a miscarriage my mom was in labor again and insisting she needed to get to the hospital. DAD (who later redeemed himself by being a great Dad) kept saying, "the games almost over, can't we wait?" So I was born 10 minutes after arriving at the hospital in Cheyenne Wyoming. But Hey, Hank Aaron and Willie Mays!?
Anyway, it didn't get any easier for awhile, Mom heard the Dr. say "the world would be better if they would just line up all the kids like this and shoot them." While he was standing at the foot if her bed but thought she was asleep, Because they thought I would be retarded, but he was quick to tell her there was nothing wrong but a redheads complexion. She refused to be discharged before another Dr. gave a second opinion and I was soon whisked away for a life saving complete blood transfusion. My blood was too thick to type so they gave me 2and 1/2 times my blood volume in type O-
Today we took Daisy to the theater for her first movie, thinking we might have to leave in half an hour or so but she was great. Finding Dory!
We also had 53 real candles but she helped me blow them out. Whew
