Atonium in Brussels

The Atomium in Brussels is definitely one of the most astonishing, amazing buildings to photograph. Built in 1958 for the Universal Exhibition, it represents an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times. (You can see more photos on my blog http://tinyurl.com/38wctht)
I looked at all your photos of the Atonium and don't know how you chose; they are all wonderful.

Thank you Allison, I didn't know either wich one I should upload here. Chose this one because I wanted to show or try to show how huge this place is, the woman jumping gives an idea of the size...or not!

I saw her and thought to myself is that a person or my imagination! I love that she is there for scale. Very cool photo of amazing architecture!

Lovely pic Helene, like Allison I looked at your blog and agree with her they are all great photos, I hadn't noticed the woman jumping, it certainly gives a sense of scale!!
I remember seeing pictures in the papers when it was first opened and saw models of it but had never realised before how big it is. Thankyou.
