Cat Food! (Selene vomer)

Photographed in a shallow bay, off the Cornish coast, no not really!!
My eldest son made me promise we would pop in to the brilliant Plymouth Marine Aquarium on our journey home from our holiday in deepest, darkest Cornwall. So I took my camera bag in, just as I didn't want to leave it in car.
There turned out to be a couple of aquariums where I deemed the light levels were high enough to attempt a shot or two (camera settings , iso1600, F5.6, 1/250sec, followed by some sharpening in Lightroom).
One contained a small shoal of these Lookdown Fish (Selene vomer) which would dart around and then stay pretty still for a moment before shooting off again. The aquarium was lit with a very bright blue lighting hence the colour. Normally these fish have a very bright silver appearance.

Lookdown fish can be found in shallow coastal waters, in the tropical Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico. They can grow to a size of up to 2Kg.

I'm covering our empty Saturday slot this week, so should have a more traditional Cornish landscape to show on Tuesday.
Thanks to Paul No.2 for posting my flower shot last Tuesday, and for all the kind comments it received. (Apologies for the title, just trying to carry on the cat theme we seem to be running this week !)
Striking colour and capture.

Not often you see aquarium shots. So congrats on something different and well done.
