Reynisfjara is the beach of black volcanic rock between Vík and the Dyrhólaey headland, on the western side of the Reynisfjall ridge. The beach features stacks of basalt columns while just offshore are more stacks, Reynisdrangur, formed as the cliffs have eroded.
@pizzaboy - thanks so much Mick. Iceland is absolutely stunning; I was so lucky to go there to help with my friend Jules' work. I really need to find some well-paid work so I can save and return for a longer time to explore further
@steeler@summerfield - thanks for the comments and for checking in with me. I am finding it too hard to try to do everything when I am in the library...and 365 is a 'luxury item' (as it were) so I have let it lapse for the moment. I hope to come back when things have changed.
I hope your picture taking is going well too. :-)
