My left foot by pattyblue

My left foot

This foot at Chatsworth House is from a Greek god statue circa 150 - 50 BC which was believed to stand 11 metres high.
The matching right foot is in the Pergamon Museum in Berlin.
Lovely light and very interesting info. Fav

Cool shot. Does the foot just sit there? It does not seem to be on display.

@thewatersphotos It seems to have just been randomly placed on the floor in one of the corridors. With Covid19 there were no tour guides to take us round so if there was a purpose behind its placement it will remain a mystery...

@ninaganci Thanks Nina, yes it was pretty huge. It must have been an impressive statue back in the day.

Perfect title... It reminded me of the Nike/Adidas story, where (if I am recalling correctly) they each have one trainer that belonged to Jesse Owen from the pre-WWII Olympics in Germany. I’m happy to be corrected as a bit sketchy 🤦🏻‍♀️. Love the composition and history.
