This house sits inside the cemetery gates and was built in 1863 in the same style as the chapel.
It is now converted to studio flats.
I imagine it would be a great conversation starter when asked where do you live?
They turning this into flats....wow. I am sure with some drinks stories will come alive. I really like the brick and architecture of this building. Nice shot in B&W.
A super shot of this attractive and interesting building. B&W suits it very well. Nice that it is eing used when so many cemetery buildings have been left to decay. Fav!
@thewatersphotos Thanks Gary and no, I didn’t realise they were flats until I researched the building and an advert came up for them. There were some interior pictures but I couldn’t really get a clear idea of space etc.
It's good that the architects managed to retain the original facade of this lovely building. I do like the patterns in the stonework and roof.
I couldn't help laughing at you comment on the conversation starter - our local cemetery had flats built next to it - called 'The Choirs'
"Ooh, nowhere special. I live at the cemetery" would be a surprising reply. The house has a lot of character, though, much more beautiful that the apartment blocks they build today. Great shot, perfectly selected in b&w.

Was this a church or the living quarters of superintendent?
