Serendipity

I went walking today with no real idea where to go. My feet drew me to the cemetery and I found this scene waiting for me.
I asked them if it would be disrespectful for me to take a photo and they said not at all and posed nicely for me.
It would have been nice to catch them unawares but it wasn’t possible in the circumstances.

Fab! I am highly allergic to horses so have asked my boys for horses at my funeral so I can finally be close to one!!

Lovely shot and a very evocative image. In my childhood, I did some time as an altar boy and it was frequent for me and others to accompany hearses drawn by horses while we sat in a horse-drawn coach beside the priest. Both hearse and coach used to be black. There were white ones too for little children
