My First Love

Ok, so not this toy VW Bug, it's way too small for me to even begin to climb into and I doubt the plastic engine even works, but a Bug none the less. It was such a fun first car and we shared a lot of adventures over the years, travelling far a wide, especially through the Yorkshire Dales (boy did its tiny engine hate those hills). Anyway, I digress. I found this little toy bug the other day and just started messing about with it on my deck rails when I was bored one afternoon. I liked the way it started to look in the viewfinder and this was the end result. By the time I'd finished playing about I was pining for my lost bug, but it went to car heaven a long time ago :-( The lights and their reflections were added in lightroom. Nice on black if you have a minute.

Thank you again for all your kind comments and favs on my recent images. Very much appreciated :-)
This is great! It certainly brings back memories of when I was a child and my folks had a Bug. Dad and mom would just lift it up when it got stuck - and it got stuck lots on dirt roads - lol!

My first car was a Morris Minor. I've driven Beatles, but never owned one. The first and only new car my father ever had was a Beatle 🙂

Mine was a 1971 Mini...it was almost a bug though, had it not been for the rust...
