North Coats Church by paul10

North Coats Church

So today I got my wife to drop me off at North Coats to photograph this little charming church. I'd never been there before though we pass it lots of times on our way to Helen's dads. I decided it would make a great subject for my project. I set up on my tripod and found the sky was too bright to manage so decided to have a go at HDR. I loaded three images into lightroom (I think I'm starting to get the hang of lightroom) and this is the end result. I'm pretty pleased as this was my first proper go other than using the HDR function in my camera. I actually think doing it this way is better than the HDR function in my camera :)
Some day I need to come visit you and let you tour me around so we can shoot together! Fun to think about! Love your pics, Paul!

Well done, this is super. I love HDR as long as it isn't too overdone and this is just right.

HDR really does make a huge difference. Must look into that with my PS14 - I am sure it does but I am totally clueless!

@farmreporter Thanks Wendy. You say you're using PS14, do you mean Elements? If so, you can blend shots together with different exposures. Just go to Photmerge in guided and follow the tabs from there :)
