My sweet little Tater kitty passed away this evening. Her full name was Tater Tot, because Brenna said she looked like a spud. Since she was so small, we decided Tater Tot would be the perfect spud name for her:)
We knew she had a bad heart and that her days were numbered, but it's still hard:( We loved that little kitty. She spent tons of time on my lap.....in fact, she should be on my lap right now:(:(
I took this picture of her yesterday as she was laying in a sunny spot on my kitchen floor. sigh........

Words fail me, Paula. I can only say I've had a dog die in my arms a few years back. Her final howel still haunts me to this day, so I've been where you are right now. That final photo will probably be one of the most special pictures you will ever take.

Paula - There are not words to express the sorrow you must be feeling. I lost my sweet Caleb to cancer in December after having him for 14 years, so I understand the pain of your loss. I'm offering a fav in Tater's memory!
Oh, Paula! I'm sorry to hear of your loss. Even knowing that the end is near doesn't make it any easier. This is a beautiful picture of your Tater Tot; she looks so cute. I know you must miss her but she will be waiting at the Rainbow Bridge for you.

Oh, Paula! I'm so sorry to hear about Tater! Loosing a pet is loosing a friend! We lost our kitty a couple months ago and it's still sad! My heart and prayers go out to you and your family!
So sorry Paula. As I sit with our cat on my lap making sure he can touch the laptop, I cant imagine not having him here. Glad you could give her a good life.
So sad. I just read this, Oh My. I am so sorry for your loss. My heart aches for you. I have gone through this so many times, and the process is horrible. know you are in my thoughts. Tater has now crossed over the rainbow bridge to be with others- mine included.

So sorry for your loss it is always hard to loss a beloved pet, are always a big part of the family. She looks so much like my little Chloe who we lost a few years ago to the same thing. And was so special to us.

Dear Mz. Paula...I produce an 11x17 print of pets in the clouds over Rainbow Bridge. I would like to use this pic of Tater in the Print and send you a free copy. Hi Paula, I read somewhere once that our beloved pets are "the little heartbeats at our feet." They didn't mention, however, how they capture our souls and change our lives forever. Bless your little Tater-cat, she is beautiful. I had to my little girl 'Tweet' down a few years ago, and your story brought tears to my eyes. Fav.
@revjoel , yes, of course you may use Tater's photo. I had never heard of the Rainbow Bridge until several people mentioned on here. Thank you so much for your kind words. It's been tough.....i miss the little squirt.
I am so sorry about Taters Paula! My cat Gizmo was like my first child. I know that for some its silly, but for others its really hard when we lose a pet family member. I had him for 18 years and out of nowhere old age caught up to him. It happened so fast, it broke my heart to let him go. Sending hugs and comfort your way.
