Only God knew the emotions I went through tonight. Just like Psalm 139 say: “You (the Lord) understand my thought afar off.” God was my only refuge in the dark place I was. As I stand alone He was there with me. As I read Psalm 139 he promised me: “You (the Lord) have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your (His) hand upon me. Even there Your (His) hand shall lead me, And Your (His) right hand shall hold me.” In this He comforted me and I could close my eyes knowing that I was not alone and that everything was in His hands.
Amen, my thoughts are with you Paula. You have a great deal of faith and inner strength to draw on. I came across this quote from Karen Salmansohn recently..'Often it is the deepest pain which empowers you to grow into your highest self'..it helped me a lot.
Paula, you typing thse words out must have meant a lot to you! Putting the night sky as your photo would also mean heaps! May you find consolation in all the words of your friends!
I have always loved this quote from Corrie Ten Boom (although I think it was her sister Betsy who said it) "There is no pit so deep that God is not deeper still". Your photo really touches me because I have felt that way too (and Ps. 121 has often spoken to me in those dark moments). I will be remembering you in my prayers- thanking God that He is with you at this time and praying He will guide you to brighter days.
